My skill in embroidery has been developed over many years and many hours of labor. My style as an artist has always been a tedious calculated give and take between exploring the serious and unserious nature of life, love, and pain. I hope to bring a quality to my pieces that comes from deep within my emotion but also from years of discipline and desire to master an art. I sort out my emotions and grievances through visual art. Embroidery is meticulous- small creations take many hours. My relationship with this is meditative and it forces me to spend hours facing what is in my heart. From expressions of whimsy to expressions of despair- I hope we can connect through thousands of stitches.
